March of Dimes "My 9 Months - Healthy Babies Healthy Business" Program

The Morehouse School of Medicine Health Initiative is committed to providing our faculty, staff and students the information and tools necessary to develop healthy lifestyles.  Our mission is to help you, the MSM Community, establish habits for healthy living encompassing the body, mind, and spirit. We have adopted as our benchmark, Dr. David Satcher’s prescription for healthy living established while serving as the 16th U.S. Surgeon General:

  • 30 Minutes of moderate exercise at least 5 times a week
  • 5 Servings of fruits and vegetables a day
  • Avoidance of Toxins – drugs and alcohol
  • Responsible sexual behavior
  • Daily participation in relaxing & stress reducing activities
